Riyadh Masters, the crown jewel of the DOTA 2 esports calendar, is back again on July 4, 2024, bringing fierce competition to the region as twenty of the world's top teams fight for glory. This time around, Riyadh Masters will be headlining the Esports World Cup, hosted in the heart of Saudi Arabia.

With a whopping $5 million in prize money, the stakes have never been higher, as the Riyadh Masters '24 champions take home a life-changing 30% of the total prize pool.

Riyadh Masters 2024: Format

Twenty teams will compete in Riyadh Masters 2024. Twelve teams begin in the initial Play-In Stage, seeded from different regional qualifiers. In contrast, the remaining eight automatically are seeded into the Group Stage based on their EPT Ranking.

Play-In Stage (July 4 - 7)

• Twelve teams compete, split into two groups of six teams in a single-round-robin
• All matches are best-of-two
• Top three teams from each group advance to the Group Stage
• Fourth to fifth-place teams from each group will be matched as matches are played from opposite groups
• Winners advance to the Group Stage, Losers are eliminated

Group Stage (July 10 - 14)

• Two groups of eight teams compete in a single round-robin
• All matches are best-of-two
• Top four teams from each group advance to the Playoffs Upper Bracket
• Fifth and sixth-placed teams from each group advance to the Lower Bracket Playoffs
• Remaining teams are eliminated

Playoffs Stage (July 16 - 21)

• Ten teams compete in a double-elimination bracket
• All matches, except the Grand Final, are best-of-three
• The Grand Final is a best-of-five

Riyadh Masters 2024: Teams

For many of these top teams, Riyadh Masters will be their last public showing before they face off again for the legendary Aegis at The International in October. As such, they'll be giving the competition they're all as they aim to make a lasting impression.
